PAPER ISN’T PEOPLE!
Reactive Handgun 1 is our entry Force-on-Force course for the concealed carrier. Whether you currently conceal a firearm for protection or plan to in the future, this class is essential for preparing you to use it responsibly and effectively.
Most people who train with their firearms never do so under stress or with social nuance. Fighting with talking, moving, interactive human beings is an important aspect of training that self-defenders don’t often get to experience. Shooting at static targets also does not allow the shooter to deal with any “social gray area”.
Flat-Range shooting is not enough to be prepared! Immersion in violent situations is the focus of Reactive Handgun and you will come face to face with field-experienced role-players who will present realistic scenarios that Americans face every day.
What You’ll Get From This Class
Learn how to fight with your handgun through intense, realistic self-defense scenarios
An understanding of your natural fighting reactions
What we do on the range is not always the same as we do in a fight. Seeing self-defense with a pistol through the lens of a street fight rather than a slightly more intense range session is important.Communication skills under stress
The fight is only one part of the equations. You may have to de-escalate, control the chaos, and explain yourself to authorities in this class.Safe environment to make mistakes
A mistake made with a firearm can have dire consequences in the real world. This class allows you to make those mistakes, reassess with an instructor, and try again.Development of a fighting mindset
Learning to fight back happens when you spar, not when you shoot at paper. This environment develops the weapon between your ears.Open Forum Learning
This class is the place for the “what if” questions. Our instructors will be available to talk out and set up scenarios that you may be the most concerned about.Accessing your equipment under stress
We learn how to draw our weapon and engage a threat at the range. Things change when a person is running at you or is not presenting a clear threat to you. Do you know when to how fast to draw?
Why You Should Be Here
The missing link in gun training
Many train at the range, few train against people. Force on force training provides a human element that is needed to understand the chaos of combat. You want to learn the nuances of when to engage a threat
Deciding to draw and engage a threat is a big decision. Sometimes speed is not always the answer. You will understand deceptive techniques to draw undetected. You want to test your threshold for stress
Managing our emotions is paramount to our survival. Our roleplayers are trained to turn up your stress. This is a perfect environment to expand your ability to handle critical stress. You want to improve what you do at the range
Fundamentals are learned in dry fire. They are then tested at the range. They are applied here. Force on force training will help you understand every drill you practice at an intuitive and practical level. You want to improve your decision making skills
Decisions are easy to make when we’re relaxed. Once time becomes the difference between life and death, things become more difficult. This class will help you learn how to cut through the fog, eliminate indecision, and take control of chaotic situations.

SITUATIONS WE ALL THINK ABOUT
STALKERS
Approximately 13.5 million individuals are stalked in the U.S. every year. Around 22.5% of women (28.8 million) and 9.7% of men (11.9 million) experience stalking in their lifetimes. Studies indicate that roughly 46% of stalkers ultimately display physical violence toward their victims, and the risk multiplies drastically if threats of harm have been communicated.
ACTIVE SHOOTERS
It has become alarmingly normalized to see “active shooter” featured in news headlines. We don’t get to choose when and where these situations happen but we can choose how we respond to preserve life or limb. We are now seeing a clear pattern of how to survive, and even stop an active shooter: an armed response.
PROTECTING YOURSELF AND YOUR LOVED ONES
Predators tend to attack the vulnerable and avoid anything that can resist them with force. Having the ability to protect yourself and your loved ones is a right that everyone has, but is not always exercised. How prepared you are depends on your tools, training, and mindset. You even out the scales when you have the firepower, understanding of the law, and the training to back it all up
